French Connection's ads for Spring/Summer 2010

I have fallen in love with these black and white films portraying the two mysterious, sophisticated, sexy, cool and charismatic characters; The Man and The Woman. I tried to pick a personal favorite but it was so hard to pick one when they were all amazingly good, a little bit humorous and very very lala.

Performance | St Petersburg Ballet on Ice

The St Petersburg State Ballet on Ice (former Leningrad State Ballet on Ice) will be staging Swan Lake and Cinderella Ballet for 8 special appearances in Istanbul at TIM Show Center between 1-6 March 2011.

St Petersburg State Ballet on Ice - Nutcracker

The St Petersburg State Ballet on Ice founded in 1967 by Konstantin Boyarsky, has been the first group to perform classical ballet pieces with classical costumes and sets on special ice rinks placed on major theater stages of USA, Canada, Netherlands, Germany, China, Spain, Korea, Taiwan, Greece, Portugal, Ireland since 1995 by Konstantin Rassadin as the principal.

The commercial where Madonna's hit "Like a Prayer" was debuted, was banned after the controversial original video of the song aired on the very next day on TV. Although Madonna explained "The treatment for the video is a lot more controversial. It's probably going to touch a lot of nerves in a lot of people. And the treatment for the commercial is . . . I mean, it's a commercial. It's very, very sweet. It's very sentimental.", it didn't help the commercial to be banned from TV as well as her sponsorship for her next tour being dropped.

Series focusing on history, all those vintage clothing craze the teenagers have these days...

Ironicly as we get closer to the electro-cyber age, people seemed to develop sympathy for the old times; as vintage clothes and objects get popular day by day, designers have also been working on this concept.

While the vintage objects remain their spot among luxurious items, the most important thing is not to cross the thin line between old trash and vintage treasures.

Exhibition | Hussein Chalayan - Proximity Sensors

Sertab Erener for I am Sad Leyla

Galerist will be hosting Hussein Chalayan's "Proximity Sensors",that will open today with a special performance of "Imminence of Change" by Chalayan himself with Didem Soydan at 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm.

The exhibition will contain works of  Chalayan presented as sculpture, video and sound installations.

"The Immenince of Change" will be another spectacular example of Chalayan's robotic presentations, shifting through different hair and make-up styles of  the past centuries.

Right after "The Immenince of Change", Turkey Promo of  the infamous "I am sad Leyla" where he questions the relationship between past and the future, will take place.

The exhibition can be visited until March 26th 2011 at Galerist Galatasaray.
